Setting up for the Big Move

Moving, especially when you have to move the stuff from a relative who is no longer with us out first before we can move in, is difficult. Now add all of the rehabbing we've done to the house over the past several years, which we JUST finished this week and the fact that we're both going in to busy season and stress levels are climbing just a little bit.

You see, a few years ago, Nanci's Mom passed away at 80 years of age. We, after a minor bit of squabbling with her sibs, got the house, mainly because WE had been the ones paying all of the bills ON the house for years!

Now, finally, we get to move in. But first, we have to take care of about 50 years worth of built up STUFF. Old furniture, papers that are SO out of date that they are almost (but not ever going to be!) collectibles, clothes that are worn out and out of date (ANY date!), you get the idea.

So it's really like moving twice.

Except that we're also moving both of our offices into the new house as well!

Yes, we'll have more room, a wonderfully secure home, complete with wrought-iron security fence with an AUTOMATIC gate, and a bunch of other new things, including a whirlpool bathtub. But the digging though the old stuff is a challenge. Especially when the charitable organizations SAY that they will be by to pick up the clothing, or furniture, or whatever, but then NEVER SHOW UP!

Oh well. At least we're staying IN Chicago and none of this will effect my availability for ANY of my upcoming shows.

By the way, there are still a few openings for show bookings for this holiday season due to some corporate take overs causing some last minute cancellaions, so CALL me for the BEST in Hypnotic, Magical and Mentalism entertainment!
